Our Booster Club kicked off the new season of afterschool enrichment programs with First Lego League (FLL) Robotics, followed quickly by Robotics Club and Noetic Math. It’s been an exciting start to the year filled with creativity, teamwork, and learning!

First Lego League Robotics
Our two FLL Robotics teams — made up of 4th and 5th graders — launched into this season’s challenge, “UnEarthed.” Students built and coded robots, designing attachments that could lift levers, pull or push movable pieces, and complete other mechanical missions.
In addition to their robot work, the teams developed and presented a social studies project to a panel of judges. On Saturday, November 8, both teams competed with incredible enthusiasm and collaboration, showing true SOAR values throughout the event.
We’re thrilled to announce that our 5th-grade team, the Mini Bagel Bytes, have advanced to the regional competition on December 6 in Burbank. Congratulations to all our amazing participants — we’re so proud of you!
Robotics Club
This year, the Booster Club officially took over the Robotics Club. With one FLL season now behind us, we’re partnering with our school staff and CCEF to continue growing both programs. Our goal is to strengthen and expand robotics opportunities for all students, building a pathway that develops technical and creative thinking skills.
Noetic Math
Our Noetic Math program has seen exciting growth this year — with more than twice as many scholars participating compared to last year! Two teachers are now leading afterschool practice sessions and the exam itself, ensuring our students are well-prepared to take on this fun and challenging math contest.
Playworks Southern California
We’re also in active conversations with Playworks Southern California, an organization that leads structured recess programs designed to promote teamwork and conflict resolution. If all goes as planned, Playworks will begin leading recess activities two to three days a week starting in January.
Looking Ahead
There’s even more enrichment to come in winter semester 2026! Stay tuned for:
